You’re So Warm, Babe Whenever I think of the Yule Tide Time - The shortest days of the year Candles glowing, & snowflakes snowing And stars twinkling bright & clear The very best reason to love the season Is not the presents or the tree - It’s the joy I’m feeling, ‘Cause you’re close to me You’re So Warm, Babe - Like a winters’ fire You’re So Warm, Babe – Like the hearts’ desire Like a glowing coal within my soul Like candles in the windows at night Like rosy faces flaked with snow Fires’ glow shows mistletoe – So Warm, Babe - Like Home that’s shuttered & snug You’re So Warm, Babe – Like your favorite childhood hug Like the Polar Bear in his cozy lair – Like times we still reminisce Like a cocoa chocolaty kiss - You’re So Warm You’re So Warm, Babe – Like candles in the window at night You’re So Warm, Babe - Like a day when it’s sunny & bright Like a snuggly childhood hug, hot cocoa in a favorite mug Like a chocolaty cocoa kiss – You’re So Warm

The Snow Storm - by Ralph Waldo Emerson Announced by all the trumpets of the sky, Arrives the snow, and, driving o'er the fields, Seems nowhere to alight: the whited air Hides hills and woods, the river, and the heaven, And veils the farm-house at the garden's end. The sled and traveller stopped, the courier's feet Delayed, all friends shut out, the housemates sit Around the radiant fireplace, enclosed In a tumultuous privacy of storm. Come see the north wind's masonry. Out of an unseen quarry evermore Furnished with tile, the fierce artificer Curves his white bastions with projected roof Round every windward stake, or tree, or door. Speeding, the myriad-handed, his wild work So fanciful, so savage, nought cares he For number or proportion. Mockingly, On coop or kennel he hangs Parian wreaths; A swan-like form invests the hidden thorn; Fills up the farmer's lane from wall to wall, Maugre the farmer's sighs; and, at the gate, A tapering turret overtops the work. And when his hours are numbered, and the world Is all his own, retiring, as he were not, Leaves, when the sun appears, astonished Art To mimic in slow structures, stone by stone, Built in an age, the mad wind's night-work, The frolic architecture of the snow.

We’ll Have Orange For Xmas 16 12 8 It’s that Yuletide time of year When we try to have some cheer Like a dried up dromedary We’ve no water for tears But let us all be merry And trade our fears for leers ‘Cause we’ll have an orange for Xmas An orange glow all round the tree That golden shine like a “mine, mine, mine” It suits us to a giant “T” And we’ll have lots of orange for Xmas Its’ glitter is already old Our eyes will get callous from touring the palace Where each lily is gilded with gold Our stockings & souls will be filled with coal Shining like a fire at the dump For then we’ll see, atop the tree Our Xmas gold-branded with LUMP It’s bright yellow orange for Xmas Each traffic cone lit with a star So our new tradition is the road to Perdition This joke has gone waymuch too far The bully who whizzes in all punch bowls Now owns the options on our soul goals While trolls with gold machetes make the Bill Of Rights confetti And the Rockettes all in skates knock the tree down on their dates Let the wodka make us hazy - it’s time for fruit cake crazy There ain’t no more disputin’, do svidaniya, old Vlad Putin When Clarence hears a bell, it’s Mr. Potter’s note from Hell Get some garland, tie up George, chucked off the bridge & down the gorge Beat out our brains with peppermint canes Choke us with nog & a cheesey nut log Scald our tiny thumbs with hot sugar plums Chastize our folly with whips of holly Hear the reindeer blat with gas, so our sleigh can’t go real fast - In fact, we can hardly start We’ll be boiling in the puddin, stake of holly through the heart But we’ll have orange for Xmas

Silver Wheel 11:02
Silver Wheel So we wandered, never weary – Over night-time whiter snow Flying high above the forest – Over snowfields far we go Over mountains, over ice flows – over oceans, icy sea See the white bears on the icebergs – snow capped mountains now we see Higher, faster, ever farther – winter dream of frigid flight Into moonlight, into star beam – glittery realms of winter night Dreaming now of winter fastness – plains of tundra, icy snow Dreaming, flying, ever swifter – to the arctic we must go We have heard the ancient tale – how the shaman lost his soul In his tent of mystic dreaming – here about the Northern pole He has lost his deep connection – he went stumbling from his trance When he woke in misdirection – mistepped in an awkward dance He has lost the soul he carried – to advance his spirit ways Now his trips are all forsaken – he has lost his nights & days We must help him in the dream land – we must quest his missing part We will fly & find his soul shard – we will mend his hurting heart We are soaring over tundra – to the Arctic Circle bent See the Hunter in the stars - & Sirius bright with colors blent We will fly like frozen witches – past the spirit moon & stars Out upon the air so cold – we will float & fly afar Questing, searching; we will help him – we can find his missing soul Catch & bring it to his sleeping – put it back in dreaming hole We are searching, looking, seeing - all the beauty spangled night Stars so cold, & white, white Earth – frozen, lovely, crystal sight Now these ripples fall around us – curtains of the atmosphere Colors changing, flashing, swirling – lovely past all hope or fear Lights of beauty scintillating – we can see them all around From our height we comprehend – view so huge from air to ground Electric visions, phantoms awesome – flickering, waving, colors rolling As if a giant bell of light – were pealing hues forever tolling And further off, a mystery – vortices in swirling light Tiny first, then growing, glowing – coming to us in the night These are beings of the air – made of ions, starlight, wind They are entities of mind – forever, they have ever been Frosty giants in the air – Titans of the olden time Floating freely, fierce & fair – coming up with roar & rhyme Through the flashing Northern Lights – they are flying hundred host Faces freezing, multi colored – icicles as teeth they boast Giants of the Northern Air – they are guardians of their space Flying at us, faster, nasty – flashing fire in our face Dare we meet them? Face & greet them? – Confrontation over snow Or should we fly, retreat & hide – never know why they act so? We stand fast; we ground ourselves – resting on an icy peak Spire of mountains’ rocky land – rooted so we feel less meek All around they ring us now – lighted by the rippling lights “Say your piece” they question hard – how dare we their fortress fight? We are looking for the soul – of a shaman, ancient man He has lost it in the North – have they found it in their land? “What of that?” they laugh like thunder – “Who would care for this small thing?” “Thousands millions of lost souls – spirits to our fortress bring “Silver circle of the stars – those that never set or wend “Is the last place of the dead – until all Cosmos comes to end “Chair of Arianhrod the Goddess – She Who holds the Northern Night “Ask Her, if you dare, this question – Where is now your shaman wight?” We will dare to make this journey – fly the circumpolar stars Fly beyond the cold of Earth – fly in coldest space so far So we go beyond the pole – up above so fast, so high Off to silver chair of Goddess – castle whirling in the sky Searching for this one lost soul – who does not deserve this fate For the dead are at the pole - & he still lives, if we’re not late High we fly, in dreaming vision – we can do what ‘er we dare Fly above the ring of lights – ions glowing in the air High above the Northern Pole – far from Sun, or planets near And we grow & grow so huge – as we flee our mortal sphere ‘Til we take up giant space – large enough to cover stars Larger than the constellations – groups of stars we enclose far Arianhrod, Silver Chair – Goddess of the Arctic Pole Tell us, now, where is it hidden – do you hold this shaman’s soul? Oh, Great Goddess, help us now – in this winter, cold & bleak Help us mortals, help our quest – show us now the soul we seek “I will help you; you are worthy – you have courage & good heart “But the man you seek is living – so his soul is not My part” “Go down; down; back to snow waste – back to Arctic fastness bare “There I’ll show you by the mountain – water flowing, streamlet there “Heated by the warmth of mountain – water in the frozen night “And by little flowing stream – crystals shine in starlight bright “In those crystals, ice & rock quartz – lives the soul of your dark man “Take it back & give it to him – Now I’ve done all that I can” We find crystals, rock & snow ice – bring it back to shaman wasting So he might reclaim his heart – as the ice melts, we are hasting He is curled on floor of tent – in the dark, almost not live Rock & Ice we place on chest – as the ice melts, he’ll revive Now his eyes are open wide – now the light shines from his chest Now he sits, now he stands – now he dances without rest Singing, praising Arianhrod – Goddess of the Silver Stars Stars in Wheel, they never set – so might we go round so far Praise the Goddess, Praise the Goddess – ever Mother, all sustaining Archetypes & Souls She fosters – ever raising, all maintaining Eternity, Infinity – ever spinning endless wheel Every all & all forever – all will come again, to heal Sing & Praise Fair Arianhrod – Goddess of the Spinning Wheel Castle of undying souls – all returning, ever real Eternity, Infinity – ever spinning endless wheel Every all & all forever – all will come again, to heal So we wandered, never weary – Over night-time whiter snow Flying high above the forest – Over snowfields far we go
