first – a communication from a dream

A person – from far away – said

“How interesting… you celebrate
your planet goes ‘round a star
The slant of your axis changes the length of the day -
So you have seasons, & an obvious way to mark time.”

“Yes,” I answered - “We have a longest day, & a shortest day -
& two times each year, the day & night are equal.

Don’t you have a similar thing?”

“No. We travel, & so all our time is measured
in equal intervals.
I envy your reasons for natural rejoicing...”

Sun is a risen, red light a givn
Gotta, gotta, gotta get – get on our way

Sun in the morning – jazzy old Sun

Happy in Sunshine – laugh at the rain
‘Bye to the Night Time – Sky in the pink

You can no longer keep on a-sleeping
Tasks, cares, & worries – have their due
Birds chirp, & bugs & buds are peeping
Day brings so many things for you

We Who Go To Work

Crawl down in the coal mine
For your one true love
Drive out to the skyline
Count the stars above

Digging in the salt mines
By the Dragon’s Lair
Treading on the Fault Lines
Find a diamond there

Pop your box of shoe shines
You will find a way
Pay your tax & fee fines
On the longest day

Working - in the Mines
Of our gloomy dark depression
Paying off our fines
And all those debts of Old Oppression

Rolling for the times
When we’ll be a Lovely Nation
Singing songs & rhymes
Of Love & Joy & Celebration

When will our New Nation arise?
As a new light in the skies?

It’s a Labor of Love – We get help from Above
When we do the Labor of Love

Watch the Kiddies – tour the Loop – hear a Prophet have his say
Take a ride, or fish, or shoot – Pickle Ball is fun for some
Kill a banker, rob & loot – you don’t even need a gun

Meditate or exercise -
Do some healthful, youthful thing
Let your leisure be a pleasure
Sing the Hours – Make them King!

Pleasured leisure – is our treasure
